「Same Boatは箱根の森の中で昔見た、男女が抱き合ってるように見える木があって、その木がすごく良くて、そこから連想して描いた作品です。抱き合う2人の男女は同じ養分を吸って生きていて、芽が出る時も枯れる時も一緒の一心同体で、同じ船に乗っている状態を描きました。」

"Same Boat was inspired by a tree I once saw deep in the forests of Hakone — a tree that seemed to show a man and woman in a tender embrace. That image captivated me, and from it I imagined this work. The two figures draw their nourishment from the same roots, living as one. Whether they blossom or wither, they do so together — two souls aboard the same boat."

「《Same Boat》的灵感来自我曾在箱根森林中见到的一棵树——那棵树看起来像是一对男女相拥而立。那个画面令我深深着迷，我便由此联想，创作了这幅作品。相拥的两人从同一根源汲取养分，共同生长。无论是抽芽还是枯萎，他们都如同一体——两个灵魂同乘一艘船。」

作家について / About the Artist

1991年東京都生まれ。桑沢デザイン研究所ヴィジュアルデザイン科卒業。人形作家を父に持ち、幼少期よりものづくりに深く親しんで育つ。アクリルを主な画材として用い、生き物のような花と無表情な女性を主なモチーフとする。一見穏やかなポートレートでありながら、近づいて見ると女性の体にカラスや花が溶け込むように存在する、静かな違和感に満ちた独自の世界観を持つ。装画・雑誌・アパレルブランドとのコラボレーションを経て、現在は絵画制作と個展活動を中心に展開。BSフジ「ブレイク前夜〜次世代の芸術家たち〜」#372（2023年）出演。

Born in 1991 in Tokyo. Graduated from Kuwasawa Design School, Department of Visual Design. Growing up with a father who was a doll artist, she has been immersed in making since childhood. Working primarily in acrylic, Nakamura centers her imagery on expressionless women entangled with life-like flora and fauna. A quiet portrait from afar reveals, on closer inspection, ravens and flowers dissolving into the figure — a world of subtle uncanniness. After collaborations with publications and apparel brands, she now focuses on painting and solo exhibitions. Featured on BS Fuji "Break Zenya ~ Next Generation Artists ~" #372 (2023).
