Working with mineral pigments and gold leaf, she explores themes of the soul, life cycles, and the cosmos through the recurring motif of butterflies. Her signature series \"Psyche\" — named after the soul symbolized by a butterfly in Greek mythology — bridges classical Japanese painting tradition and contemporary sensibility. A recipient of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Study Program, she expanded her practice in New York. In 2019, she donated a work from the \"Psyche\" series to the Vatican in conjunction with Pope Francis's visit to Japan.
